Spend the upcoming winter in fabulous Avoraiz,
We are looking for an experienced couple to help run our small range of high-end, self-catered chalets, and apartments in Avoriaz 1800 - at the centre of the Portes du Soleil, the world's biggest linked international ski area. The role is from early December 2023 to the end of April 2024. You will be based in resort, in a private apartment, and be the permanent element of a small team, with responsibility for ensuring that the guests have a trouble-free holiday and that the highest possible standards of cleanliness and maintenance are maintained. The main owners will also be in resort for a portion of the season, but you must be capable of running the properties independently. During the week you carry out changeovers, mid-week cleaning, attend to any maintenance tasks that arise and assist the guests with questions. At the end of each stay you thoroughly clean the chalets, change the beds, prepare for the arrival of the new guests and organise the laundry.
You will have previous experience of running short-term rental accommodation and be confident to work without supervision, after initial training. You will have the maturity to represent our business to our high standards and be able to cover all our duties between you. You will enjoy working with people and be enthusiastic with a flexible attitude. You will appreciate that this not a 9 to 5 role. Experience of maintenance and repair, to at least a good DIY standard, is required. You will be totally fluent in English and have a good working level of French.
This position can either be salaried, or self-employed if the correct authorisation is held to work in France. Work permits can be provided for non-EU residents. A full package is offered including excellent accommodation in the resort centre. We expect you to prioritise guests but, nevertheless, a hard-working pair could expect to be able to take to the slopes much more often than those working in catered establishments - there is no cooking or airport travel involved in this role.
