Job summary

SmartSD is seeking a Category Manager to lead our security product portfolio, coordinating with Sales, Marketing and Technical teams to optimize offerings and ensure customer satisfaction. You will manage lifecycle, develop strategies, prepare demonstrations, and collaborate across departments to deliver compelling product solutions.

The role emphasizes market analysis, supplier negotiations and a proactive, independent attitude to drive growth in our expanding international company.

Qualifications

• Experience in the security industry, esp. video surveillance, intrusion detection or access control.
• Fluent in French and English, spoken and written.
• Team player, able to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to analyze market and customer needs and translate into actions.
• Strong negotiation skills with suppliers.
• Passion for security systems and technology.

• Manage and develop the product portfolio on the SmartSD website.

• Create and manage products in internal systems and monitor their entire lifecycle.
• Prepare and deliver product presentations and demonstrations.
• Conduct technical and commercial analyses of the product portfolio in collaboration with the Marketing and Purchasing teams.
• Co-manage purchasing activities and order processing in collaboration with assigned suppliers.
• Support the sales and technical teams, particularly in relation to training and product documentation.

Who are you?

• You have experience in the security industry, particularly in video surveillance, intrusion detection, access control and/or fire detection.
• You have an excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written.
• You are a team player who can work independently and take initiative.
• You are able to analyse the market and customer needs and translate these insights into concrete actions.
• You are persistent and confident in negotiating with suppliers.
• You have a genuine passion for security systems and a strong interest in technology.
