IXO is seeking a design reviewer to help develop polished business document references. You will compare alternative presentations, revise the strongest version, and ensure precise formatting and consistency. This is a remote, part-time role with around ten hours per week, paying hourly USD rates.

Applicants should have a background in visual design or related fields and be able to articulate visual judgments clearly. Desktop PowerPoint, Word and Excel are required.

• Anchor feedback to the relevant slide, paragraph, table or cell so it can be reproduced.
• Check that design improvements preserve the meaning and usability of the content.

Your work at IXO

Help IXO develop examples of business documents that communicate clearly and look professionally finished. You will compare alternative versions of the same presentation, document or workbook, identify the most effective candidate and revise it into a strong reference example. Content accuracy, believable business context and visual execution all matter.

Responsibilities

• Assess page and slide structure, spacing, alignment, typography, colour and overall consistency.
• Compare the alternatives against a shared scoring rubric, explaining how specific design choices affect the reader.
• Repair the strongest version in its native format, including uneven margins, inconsistent object sizing, awkward empty space or confusing tables.
• Anchor your feedback to the relevant slide, paragraph, table or cell so another reviewer can reproduce your judgment.
• Check that design improvements preserve the meaning and usability of the content.

Experience and tools

Relevant backgrounds include visual design, marketing communications, consulting, investment banking, corporate communications and other work that involves producing polished business materials. You should be able to explain your visual judgments in clear writing and notice small inconsistencies across complex files.

You must have installed desktop versions of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Browser-only editions do not provide all the formatting controls this work uses. A portfolio may demonstrate your skills, but it is not a universal requirement.

Deliverables and engagement

Typical outputs are comparative scores, evidence-based review notes and revised native Office files. Work is remote, with approximately ten hours per week as a planning guide; IXO will agree the actual scope and schedule before work starts.

Pay is $85 $105/hr (USD).
