ixolabs.ai seeks an experienced plan-review professional to assess drawings against building codes for US jurisdictions. You will identify omissions, conflicts and unworkable details, communicating findings via an organized plan-review approach.

Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and knowledge of IBC/IEBC/IECC and ICC A117.1 are valued. Remote or on-site assignments are arranged by project and timing.

Work you will do

• Check drawing packages against the codes and review criteria relevant to the building and jurisdiction.
• Identify omissions, conflicts and unworkable details, and explain their significance using an organized plan-review approach.
• Produce readable markups and written findings with tools such as Bluebeam where appropriate.

Required background and routes

• US-based current or recent building-code review responsibility, with at least three years reviewing permit plans for an authority, private provider or third-party reviewer.
• ICC B1, B2 or B3 plans-examiner certification, or current/recent AHJ or third-party plan-review employment. This route does not impose a degree requirement.
• Use Bluebeam Revu or equivalent to measure and annotate plans; apply IBC, IEBC, IECC and ICC A117.1 as relevant. Contracting, estimating, drafting or permit-expediting without substantive plan review is insufficient.

Preferred background

• Eight or more years reviewing plans; reviewer mentoring, QA, correction libraries and experience comparing code editions or jurisdictions.

Deliverables

Submit the completed technical artifact or assessment with its supporting evidence, explicit assumptions, reproducible checks where applicable, and concise reasons for each material judgment. Address review findings within the agreed scope.

Location and schedule

Regional eligibility: United States. US professional practice and the stated jurisdictional credential apply. Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with no guaranteed weekly volume. Availability planning can include 40 hours per week depending on the track. IXO confirms the applicable timing before work.

Pay and working terms

• $50 $65/hr USD. The agreed hourly rate, scope, schedule and acceptance criteria are confirmed before work starts. Applying does not guarantee an assignment.
