Job summary

Gustave Roussy is seeking a Bioinformatician/Data Scientist/Post-doc to join the Computational Cancer Biology team within the Cancer Data Science unit. You will work on processing multimodal datasets, including genomics, transcriptomics and spatial modalities, applying cutting-edge pipelines, and collaborating with clinical and research teams to derive insights and publish results.

Qualifications

• Degree in bioinformatics, computational biology or mathematics with strong analytics.
• Excellent coding skills in Python and R.
• Excellent Linux and HPC skills.
• Experience running and developing bioinformatics pipelines (Nextflow/Snakemake).
• Understanding of high-throughput sequencing data processing tools.
• Knowledge of multi-omics data analysis.
• Familiarity with reporting tools like quarto/markdown.
• Knowledge of containerisation and reproducible environments.
• Strong communication of scientific results in a research setting.

Responsibilities

• Process sample data and integrate datasets for cancer biology projects.
• Deliver results and provide QC and interpretation expertise.
• Ensure reproducible data processing across projects.
• Support metadata management infrastructure.
• Support lab growth through awareness of bioinformatics developments.
• Participate in meetings, workshops and seminars.
• Contribute to publications when required.
