Therapy resistance remains a major challenge in oncology. Recent studies suggest that the intratumoral microbiome influences responses to anticancer treatments, particularly immunotherapy. The ARTURO project aims to better understand the role of bacteria and their metabolites in the tumor microenvironment and in drug response through an innovative 3D tumor-on-chip model integrating clinical data, multi-omics analyses, and state-of-the-art technologies. The research focuses on non-small cell lung cancer and invasive lobular breast cancer.
