Concordia School Paris seeks an English-speaking mathematics teacher educated in an Anglo-Saxon system to teach Year 9 and Year 10 in English and prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE examinations. The role is part-time and integrated into a bilingual math team, supported by the Head of Middle School and the Cambridge coordinator.

Start date September 2026. The position offers a French employment contract with salary discussed at interview, according to experience.

Qualifications

• A degree in mathematics or a closely related discipline.
• A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, B.Ed., state certification or equivalent).
• Native or fluent English, with schooling or teacher training in an Anglo‑Saxon system (UK, Ireland, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa).
• Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE mathematics, or a comparable international programme (GCSE, IB MYP, AP/Common Core).
• A warm, structured and encouraging classroom presence, comfortable with pupils learning in their second language.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons in English, in line with the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus.
• Prepare pupils for the IGCSE examinations, including past-paper practice, revision and examination technique.
• Assess progress regularly, write reports and meet parents at scheduled parent–teacher conferences.
• Work closely with the French mathematics team so that the two curricula reinforce one another.
• Support pupils individually where needed and contribute to the wider life of the Middle School.
