Job summary

Intertrust Group, a CSC company, is seeking an experienced accounting expert in Paris to manage ledgers for SPVs and French subsidiaries, with fluency in French and English.

You will work with senior client accountants to deliver statutory financial statements under IFRS or French GAAP, prepare management accounts, file VAT and corporate taxes, and support auditors while meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a relevant role in an accounting firm or financial services company.
• Strong understanding of technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Team player with strong problem-solving skills.
• Conscientious, diligent, with high attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the general ledger for new/existing clients through transaction research and assessing the applicable accounting treatment for SPVs and French subsidiaries.
• Post journal entries and keep up-to-date accounting records for a portfolio of French Companies.
• Prepare annual statutory financial statements including notes and disclosures under IFRS or French GAAP and in compliance with relevant company law.
• Liaise with auditors and senior team members to finalise audited financial statements to meet statutory deadlines.
• Prepare routine monthly and quarterly management accounts and other client deliverables.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, Corporation Tax returns and other French taxes.
• Work with the accounting team towards process improvement and efficiencies.
• Gain familiarity with a diverse range of investments structures and products.
• Ad hoc finance projects and general support to senior team members.
