Job summary

ESRF – The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble is seeking a motivated scientist to join ID01, a world-leading beamline for micro-/nano-beam diffraction imaging. You will conduct cutting-edge research, support external users, drive technical developments, and collaborate with international teams, with publication in top venues.

The role offers a 5-year contract with a competitive package and relocation support to Grenoble.

Qualifications

• PhD in a STEM field with postdoctoral experience.
• Experience with X-ray diffraction or X-ray optics would be desirable.
• Strong publication record and ability to present results

Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge research and exploit ID01’s unique capabilities to develop your own in-house project.
• Support external users (academic and industrial) in conducting experiments on the beamline.
• Drive technical developments, ensuring upgrades and improvements of beamline instrumentation.
• Collaborate with international experts within a multidisciplinary team.
• Present and publish research findings in conferences, workshops and journals.
