Job summary

ESRF in Grenoble, France, is seeking a Beamline Scientist for the ID09 beamline, focused on time-resolved X-ray studies using state-of-the-art instrumentation. The role supports international collaborations and enables breakthrough experiments with visiting researchers.

You will participate in developing the beamline, apply ultrafast laser methods, and drive high-impact research while collaborating with the broader X-ray diffraction and scattering group at ESRF.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Biophysics or a related field.
• Expertise in instrumentation and data analysis.
• Proficiency in the use of ultrafast lasers.
• Hands-on experience with time-resolved X-ray diffraction or solution scattering experiments.
• Proven track record of significant research achievements through publications.

Responsibilities

• Operate the ID09 beamline and contribute to its scientific exploitation and development.
• Collaborate with visiting researchers and international users to enable breakthrough experiments.
• Contribute to continuous technical upgrades and strategic development of the instrument.
