AXA Group in Paris is seeking a backup engineering specialist to own and operate backup platforms within a global IT environment. You will install, upgrade, maintain platforms, monitor production, and manage incidents with a focus on reliability and security.

You will work with cross-functional teams, develop automation scripts, and contribute to documentation and standard work according to AXA-Services standards. English communication is required; French or Dutch are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in backup environment.
• Cloud knowledge: Security, Networking, AWS, Azure.
• Commvault solutions
• IBM Spectrum Protect V8 or later expert
• Scripting skills and automation.
• Strong general knowledge in IT and Datacenter infrastructure
• Knowledge in Windows / Linux / VMware
• Autonomous, teamwork spirit and self-organized working
• Curiosity, assertiveness, pro-active mindset
• Customer centric and result orientation
• Ability to work in dynamic, matrix-structured global organizations
• Upper intermediate level of written and spoken English is a must
• French or Dutch speaking would be appreciated

Responsabilités

• Be fully responsible for backup platforms.
• Part of the project team for future backup solution.
• Installation, upgrades, maintenance of the platforms.
• Production monitoring and resolution of incidents.
• Backup monitoring and reporting with Manage Services.
• Analyze and prepare accurate production documentation.
• Incident, Problem and Change Management support at 3rd level.
• Improve operational system stability and performance.
• Create and improve operational guidelines and work instructions.
• Implement Standard Work Requests using ServiceNow.
• Troubleshoot incidents in technical areas.
• Develop scripts for automation and batches with dev teams.
• Create scripts per AXA standards and procedures.
• Support and monitor services on production servers.
• Technical writing of proper documentation per regulations.
• Ensure security is priority; audit and remediation.
• Meet service levels; propose and implement action plans.
• Work with Project team on scope and troubleshooting backup jobs on Oracle, SQL Server, Windows.

About the job

The candidate will join an existing technical team and his role will require:

• To be fully responsible for Backup platforms
• Part of the project team (as an expert) for future backup solution
• Installation, upgrades, maintenance of the platforms
• Production monitoring and resolution of technical incidents
• Backup monitoring and reporting in direct relation with Manage Services
• Analyze and prepare accurate documentation for production.
• Incident, Problem and Change Management support, in an enterprise environment, providing 3rd level support
• Improvement and extension of operational system stability and performance
• Creation and improvement of operational guidelines, implementation guidelines and work instructions and necessary documentation
• Implementation of Standard Work Requests (based on AXA-Services standards, using ServiceNow)
• Troubleshooting incidents in the scope of the technical areas
• Develop scripts for automation and batches, in close collaboration with development teams.
• Creating scripts according to internal AXA standards and procedures.
• Ability to support and monitor services on production servers.
• Technical writing of the proper documentation according to internal regulations
• Ensure security is priority one: audit, vulnerabilities remediation,
• Ensure service levels meet requirements. Propose and implement action plan when required.
• Work with Project team to prepare project scope and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Windows)

We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in backup environment
