Harmattan AI in Paris is seeking a Radar Signal Processing Engineer to own the signal processing algorithms behind our airborne radar payload. You will take full ownership from algorithmic research to embedded implementation and flight validation, working with high autonomy.

You will collaborate with EW and RF analytics teams to translate product requirements into mission-ready capabilities, prototype on the selected platform, and validate through hardware-in-the-loop tests and test flights.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of confirmed radar signal processing experience in defense or automotive radar.
• Solid experience with radar signal processing on FMCW or pulsed radars.
• Strong mathematical foundations; not reliant on off-the-shelf tools.
• Ability to own a technical scope end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Comfort with fast, iterative cycles, coding and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

Responsabilités

• Design near real-time algorithms for radar image formation, including ISAR processing of moving targets.
• Develop detection and tracking algorithms (EKF/UKF) for moving targets on airborne radar data.
• Build jamming estimation capabilities with spectral sniffing and covariance analysis.
• Contribute radar observables for navigation when GNSS is unavailable.
• Prototype and port algorithms onto an embedded computing platform.
• Validate algorithms end-to-end with hardware-in-the-loop, anechoic chamber campaigns, and flight tests.
• Work with EW and RF analytics to align signal processing with system requirements.
