Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join the Global Engineering Team in an international environment focused on automation innovation, smart manufacturing and industrial process optimization across EMEA plants.

You will support commissioning of new projects, troubleshoot and optimize automation systems, and contribute to standardization of architectures and guidelines while driving safety and performance improvements.

Qualifications

Engineering degree in automation or related field is required.
5-8 years of experience with technical background in industrial process control system realization from design to commissioning.
Excellent knowledge of PLCs (Rockwell, Siemens and B&R).
Excellent knowledge of HMI & SCADA systems.
Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of VFDs (PowerFlex) and designing electrical power distribution systems.
Strong reading of electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
Good knowledge of CE Directives, Risk Assessment methodologies, PL calculations and Safety design.
Production line commissioning capability (FAT & SAT).
Knowledge of Network and Industry 4.0 principles & tools.
Project management and relationship-building skills; strong communication.
Ability to work in a team and independently; task-driven and able to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

Support automation and process control activities during commissioning of new industrial projects.
Collaborate with R&D, Process Engineering, Procurement and Operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation systems and production lines.
Propose and implement technical improvements related to performance, safety and obsolescence management.
Contribute to the standardization of automation architectures and engineering guidelines across global teams.
Develop scalable and reusable control solutions to accelerate deployment across plants.
Support Smart Factory initiatives, including remote assistance tools, data historians and Industry 4.0 technologies.
Participate in on-site commissioning activities across EMEA plants.
