EMBL Grenoble is seeking a Research Technician to operate and develop the High Throughput Crystallization Laboratory (HTX Lab). You will work on automated crystallography and fragment screening pipelines, contribute to internal research projects and collaborate with international teams.

The role involves DNA cloning, protein expression and purification, and managing lab operations within a dynamic, international environment. English fluency and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in biochemistry or related field from a technical school or university.
• Experience in protein production for structural studies and protein crystallization; ability to use robotic lab equipment.
• Experience in diffraction data collection or fragment screening.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate with users of the crystallization facility.
• Motivation to acquire further skills and contribute to method development.
• Interest in international, high-quality research and services.
• Fluent in English and good computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Operate automated crystallography platform with liquid handling, imaging and crystal harvesting robots.
• Advance automated crystallography pipelines for fragment screening (CrystalDirect/CRIMS).
• DNA cloning, protein expression and purification for internal projects.
• Manage orders and consumables for the HTX lab; coordinate repairs.
• Collaborate on research projects including fragment screening.
