Job summary

Mercor is seeking an Audiobook QA Expert — French to evaluate AI-narrated French audiobooks for naturalness, accuracy and enjoyment in a remote contract role. You will log errors, annotate and report on listener experience, working 20 hours per week.

Native French (France) speakers with strong English reporting skills; experience in annotation or proofreading preferred. This position requires attention to detail and independent work across extensive audio content.

Position: Audiobook QA Expert — French

Type: Contract

Compensation: $15–$20/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-narrated audiobooks in French for naturalness, accuracy, and enjoyment.
• Identify and log errors in synthesized speech such as mispronunciations and audio glitches.
• Categorize issues and mark their exact location using our review tools.
• Report on listener satisfaction and pinpoint where narration enhances or detracts from the experience.
• Maintain attention to detail while working independently across extensive audio content.

Qualifications Must-Have

• Native or near‑native fluency in French (France).
• Active audiobook listener with strong opinions on quality.
• Working knowledge of English for clear reporting and communication.
• Experience in annotation, labeling, transcription, or proofreading.
• Ability to maintain accuracy over long listening sessions.
• Reliable availability for 20 hours/week.

Preferred

• Experience in AI training‑data , model evaluation, or audio/QA annotation.
• Background in language, editing, voice, or audio production.
