Job Description – Atlassian Specialist (Jira, Confluence, JSM)

Context

The Tech organisation is seeking an experienced Atlassian Specialist to support and enhance the internal Atlassian ecosystem. The role focuses on ensuring platform stability, scalability, governance, and alignment with IT and business processes across global teams.

Role Purpose

Provide operational support, configuration, and continuous improvement of Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management. Enable teams to manage demand, delivery, service operations, and documentation effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management
• Design and maintain workflows, schemes, permissions, and configurations
• Implement automation to reduce manual work
• Build dashboards, filters, and reports
• Manage integrations (REST APIs, webhooks, third‑party apps)
• Ensure governance, documentation, and compliance
• Provide L2/L3 support and collaborate with internal teams and vendors
• Support migrations, transitions, and audit activities
• Optimized Jira & Confluence configurations
• Documented workflows, templates, and standards
• Automation rules reducing manual operations
• Dashboards and reports for decision‑making
• Knowledge base articles and operational runbooks

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
• 7+ years hands‑on Atlassian experience
• Experience with enterprise‑scale Jira/Confluence
• Strong understanding of Agile, ITSM, and delivery processes
• Experience working with global, distributed teams
