Overview

Our client is a well-respected information services firm that provides strategic insights to other businesses so that they can execute critical decisions with peace of mind.

They are seeking a highly-intelligent and worldly Associate / Engagement Manager with a background in corporate finance / deal advisory to join one of their newly formed teams. In this role you will be responsible for project delivery of insights that support client transactions, financial due diligence and strategic advisory engagements. The ideal candidate will be skilled at analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and has been previously involved with work on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other types of transactions.

Please note that the legal requirements of the position call for a candidate who already possesses citizenship in Vietnam and is willing to relocate to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. However, this role is fully open to those applying from overseas - if they meet the above criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting financial due diligence for buy-side and sell-side transactions.
  • Analyze financial statements, operational performance and key business drivers to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Develop financial models to assess transaction impacts and provide scenario analysis.
  • Prepare client deliverables including due diligence reports, presentations and executive summaries.
  • Support valuation analysis and market research to benchmark companies and industries.
  • Collaborate with team members and client stakeholders to provide clear recommendations.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic discussions on deal structures and transaction issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards and regulatory changes relevant to transactions.
Requirements
  • Must possess Vietnamese citizenship and be willing to relocate to Vietnam.
  • At least 1 - 5 years of experience in deal advisory, transaction services, corporate finance or investment banking.
  • Big 4 background may prove relevant and helpful.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles and valuation techniques.
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and presentations.
  • Fluent or nearly fluent in English. Some level of proficiency in Vietnamese will also be helpful.
  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field. Masters degree or professional certifications such as CPA, CFA or ACCA is a plus.
