Homewood Suites in Franklin, TN is seeking an Assistant General Manager, the hotel’s second in command. You will collaborate with department heads to direct daily operations and represent the leadership team in guest inquiries and policy implementation.

You’ll interview and hire staff, resolve guest complaints, assign duties to department heads, and support the General Manager in establishing policies and guiding day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hotel management or related field.
• At least 4 years of management experience in the hotel industry.
• Fluently speak, read and understand English.
• Familiar with OSHA, local Health regulations and relevant laws governing hazardous substances.
• Team player willing to support colleagues.

What You’ll Do:

As the hotel’s second in command, the Assistant General Manager is integral to the seamless day-to-day functioning of the hotel. You will be interfacing with the various department heads to direct and implement policies for the entire hotel. As a representative of the hotel’s leadership, you will also interact with guests answering any questions they may have. Finally, as the right hand of the General Manager, you will support the General Manager in their administrative duties. Clearly, the Assistant General Manager is not a position for the faint of heart! To learn more about what you’ll be doing on a day-to-day basis, read on:

Where You’ve Been:

A bachelor’s degree in hotel management or a related field and at least 4 years of management experience in the hotel industry. You should be able to fluently speak, read and understand English. You should also be familiar with OSHA, local Department of Health regulations and relevant current laws governing the handling of hazardous substances. Most importantly you must be a team player! We’re looking for someone who is willing to step up and aid their team members when needed.
