Skayl is seeking a Diversification Business Development Manager for all markets outside automotive in the EMEA region. You will drive profitable growth through new business development, market expansion and technology commercialization.
You will lead customer acquisition, translate technical capabilities into commercial solutions, and align market needs with product development and company strategy. Fluent English is required; German and/or French are a plus.

You are a key strategic and commercial role responsible for driving profitable growth through new business development, market expansion, and technology commercialization across diversification segments.
Your role combines customer acquisition, innovation leadership, and business strategy execution, ensuring strong alignment between market needs, product development, and company growth objectives.
You act as a central interface between customers, sales, R&D, and product development, leading opportunities from concept to commercialization and profitable revenues.
Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across composites and diversification markets (all markets other than automotive).
Prospect, qualify, and secure new customers and applications.
Analyze market trends, competition, and emerging technologies.
Act as the primary interface between customers and internal teams.
Understand customer needs and translate them into tailored technical and commercial solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Lead negotiations and commercial agreements.
Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Drive introduction of new technologies and products (composites and advanced materials).
Collaborate with R&D and Product Development to prioritize and accelerate projects.
Lead opportunities through the full lifecycle until commercialization / first orders.
Support development of business cases, product strategies, and value propositions.
Identify new markets, business models, and applications beyond core segments.
Support selection of lead customers for validation of new solutions.
Ensure alignment between commercial strategy and technical development.
Lead or coordinate multi-disciplinary teams (i.e R&D, Engineering, Operations, Finance, ...).
Develop and manage sales forecasts and budgets.
Ensure profitability and margin optimization of new business.
Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or Business.
Solid knowledge of composites, adhesives, advanced materials, or fiber products.
Fluent in English (German and/or French is a strong plus).
Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in business development, sales, or product management in technical industries, in solution selling and technical sales environments. Ability to translate technical concepts into business opportunities.
Experience in composites and advanced materials preferred.
Commercial & Strategic Skills (business development and deal-closing capabilities - ability to develop and execute strategic business plans - Strong market analysis and strategic thinking).
