Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Applications Engineer to support automotive customers in central Europe with product performance inquiries and technical assistance. You will plan and document tests across production and labs, lead technology development projects, and coordinate qualifications with key customers.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive technical support, strong plastics/composites knowledge, and fluent English; French or other languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• 5 years of relevant experience in the automotive sector, particularly in technical support and product development.
• Strong technical competence in plastics, composites, and their production and processing technologies.
• Extensive experience with composite materials and manufacturing processes in automotive environment.
• Good understanding of design models and methodologies for structural composite parts in automotive applications.
• Fluent English is required; proficiency in French and any additional language is appreciated.
