Mistral AI is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to facilitate the adoption of its products among customers and collaborate with them to address complex technical challenges. The Applied AI team is Mistral's customer-facing technical organization.

We work directly with enterprise clients from pre-sales through implementation to deploy cutting-edge AI solutions that deliver measurable business impact. Our team combines deep ML expertise with strong customer engagement skills, operating like startup

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.
• 2+ years as a technical individual contributor on AI-based products.
• Proven experience implementing AI/ML products with APIs, backend and frontend interfaces.
• Experience in Fine Tuning LLMs and RAG or agentic use cases.
• Deep understanding of ML and LLM concepts and algorithms.
• Strong Python coding skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsabilités

• Deploy production use cases with significant business impact across industries.
• Develop state-of-the-art GenAI applications with customers guiding transformation.
• Collaborate with researchers, AI engineers, and product teams on complex projects including fine-tuning and LLM apps; contribute to open-source codebases.
• Participate in pre-sales calls to understand client needs and articulate Mistral technologies to stakeholders.
• Work with product and science teams to continuously improve product and model capabilities based on feedback.
