Tecumseh is seeking an Application Engineer (M/F) to serve as the technical interface between customers, sales teams and engineering in La Verpillière, France. You will provide expert technical support across the sales cycle and help strengthen long-term relationships with European partners.

The role requires a strong technical mindset, fluency in French and English, and experience in an international, customer-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Higher technical education (Engineering degree or equivalent).
• Significant experience in a B2B industrial environment.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain high-level customer relationships.
• Fluent in French and English, able to operate in international settings.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle and support customers before, during, and after the sale.
• Analyze technical requirements and recommend optimal Tecumseh solutions.
• Support sales teams during customer visits, trade shows, and strategic meetings.

Application Engineer (M/F)

Location: La Verpillière, France

Start date: September/October

We are looking for a Application engineer.

As a key interface between customers, sales teams, and technical departments, you will provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle and contribute to building long‑term relationships with our European partners. With a strong field presence and a deep understanding of customer applications, you will support projects before, during, and after the sale, while contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Application Engineering

• Support Product Engineering projects by leveraging technical expertise, ensuring that the best application of Tecumseh products is delivered to customers.
• Provide technical support to customers before, during, and after the sales process.
• Analyze technical requirements and recommend the most suitable solutions.
• Support sales teams during customer visits, trade shows, and strategic meetings.
• Respond to technical inquiries and manage customer complaints requiring advanced technical expertise.
• Conduct tests, analyses, and technical evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for customers.
• Act as the interface between customers and the R&D department.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in the analysis of quality issues reported from the field.
• Ensure the consistency and relevance of technical solutions proposed to customers.
• Monitor customer feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of products and services.
• Collaborate closely with quality, sales, and technical teams to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Business Development & Customer Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customers and partners.
• Deliver technical seminars, training sessions, and customer presentations.
• Contribute to the identification of new business opportunities and prospecting activities.
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional meetings.
• Maintain active market awareness regarding industry trends and customer needs.

Candidate Profile

• Higher technical education (Engineering degree or equivalent), preferably with a specialization in refrigeration and cooling technologies.
• Significant experience in a B2B industrial environment.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain high‑level customer relationships.
• Strong technical mindset combined with a commercial and field‑oriented approach.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Ability to thrive in an international and multicultural environment.
• Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills.
