Neuralk-AI is seeking an AI Scientist to contribute to the design and training of our foundation models for structured data. You will work closely with the engineering team's efforts to push scalability and impact.

The role requires a PhD and 3+ years of ML experience with pre-training and fine-tuning transformers, plus strong communication skills in English. You will join a fast-paced, research-driven startup with ownership and cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a closely related field, with a focus on deep learning.
• 3+ years of experience in machine learning which involved pre-training, fine-tuning and evaluating DL algorithms (Transformers) in the cloud or in a private cluster.
• You have a publication record in top-tier ML conferences or journals
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
• Self-starter and autonomous.
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability.
• Appetite to explore, implement new ideas and innovate.
• You have demonstrated experience in designing and running large-scale ML experiments (SLURM, Pytorch, Deepspeed).
• Demonstrated machine learning experience in one of the following: open-source activity, data science competitions.
• Track record of translating research into business impact
• Experience in developing and debugging in C/C++, Python

Responsabilités

• Algorithms: Contribute to the development of foundation models for structured data.
• Evaluation: Build metrics and assess model performance with clients and partners.
• Active learning and training data optimisation: Design data strategies to improve sample selection and model performance.
• Research: Stay current with ML advancements and suggest optimisations for foundation models.
• Pitching & communication: Present ML research concepts to the team and stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work with ML engineers, data scientists, and clients on representations for downstream apps.
• Ad-hoc analyses: Run analyses to understand learning mechanisms of the foundation model.
