Job summary

Mistral AI is seeking a hands-on Privacy Legal Counsel to shape and scale our global privacy strategy across AI products, partnerships, and internal operations. You will embed with researchers, engineers, product managers and leaders to implement privacy-first solutions.

The role requires 5–8 years in data protection/privacy law, preferably with in-house or tech exposure, and a Master's degree in law (bar admission a plus).

Qualifications

• Master degree in law with bar admission is a plus (5-8 years in privacy/data protection).
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and privacy law regulations.
• Understanding of AI technologies and their privacy implications.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into product-friendly guidance.

Responsibilities

• Champion privacy-by-design across AI products, features and cloud infra.
• Develop and maintain DPIAs, ROPAs, TIAs, policies and public notices.
• Provide legal support to HR, Marketing, Sales, IT, Security and Leadership.
