Datadog is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the team building AI-powered developer tools for coding agents. You will own the surfaces where developers work and partner with staff engineers on architecture decisions.

In an early-stage product context, you will shape the roadmap, drive execution rhythms, and ensure correctness and reliability while balancing speed with quality. This role sits at the intersection of product, design, and engineering.

Qualifications

• You're actively shipping code with AI agents in production.
• You thrive in early-stage environments where the roadmap shifts and the right answer isn't known yet.
• You have a genuine point of view on AI coding tools - where they help today, where they fall short, and what it would take to close the gap.
• You have strong technical depth in full-stack development (TypeScript/React and systems-level work) and stay close enough to the code to earn the trust of senior engineers
• You've built developer-facing products or tooling where speed, reliability, and developer experience were hard requirements

Responsabilités

• Lead and grow a team of engineers building AI-powered developer tools, owning hiring, ramp-up, and career development
• Own the technical direction for the product we're shipping, partnering closely with staff-level engineers on architecture decisions.
• Drive down developer cycle time while raising the bar on correctness - making AI-assisted development both faster and more trustworthy
• Partner with Product and Design to shape the roadmap for an early-stage product, translating ambiguous problems into shippable scope
• Establish the execution rhythm for your team: planning, delivery, quality, and operational ownership of the services you build
