Job summary

H, a Paris-based AI contracts company, is seeking a qualified lawyer to draft and negotiate AI service agreements and related contracts. You’ll collaborate with our General Counsel and cross-functional teams, translating evolving AI law into clear contract provisions.

You should have a Master’s in Law, be admitted to the bar, and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with GDPR/IP/regulatory knowledge and strong communication with engineers and an international mindset.

Qualifications

• Hold a master's in law and are admitted to the bar.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Know data protection law (GDPR), IP, contract law and liability, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in a fast-growing company.
• Can explain a legal position plainly to an engineer; work well independently; international outlook.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and advising on a wide range of contracts, AI service agreements among them, with customers, partners and suppliers.
• Working through the other side's mark-up and negotiating terms, including liability provisions.
• Turning new products and AI law into contract changes and negotiation guidance.
• Answering engineers and business teams on how to deploy AI within the rules.
• When needed, handling issues outside contracts: employment, corporate or competition law.
