H is seeking a Legal Counsel in Paris to join the Legal team, focusing on contracts and commercial matters. The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence three days per week, and reports to the General Counsel in Paris.

You will draft, negotiate and adapt contracts for AI-related services, monitor regulatory developments, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance across jurisdictions. The position requires a law degree, bar admission, and 3–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in law and bar admission required.
• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in tech/AI.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy (GDPR), IP, contract law, and liability.

Responsabilités

• Draft and negotiate AI-related service agreements and other contracts.
• Provide strategic legal advice and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated on AI regulatory developments and adapt contracts accordingly.
• Collaborate with tech and business teams to enable responsible deployment of AI.
• Assist with other legal topics as needed (labor, corporate, competition).

Role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our Legal team and focus primarily on Contracts & Commercial topics. As a member of our legal team (based in Paris), you will be instrumental in:

• Supporting our business in drafting our contracts, agreements and terms to enable deal making and revenue generation

• Driving contract negotiations and helping adapt our contracts to the evolving AI regulatory and compliance landscape, including data privacy

The role reports into our General Counsel, based in Paris.

Responsibilities

• Draft and provide strategic advice on a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to AI-related service agreements

• Negotiate (markup, arguments, strategies) such contracts with suppliers, partners, customers and other stakeholders

• Stay updated on the latest products and AI-related legal and regulatory developments and translate them into contract adaptation and negotiation guidance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, in close partnership with technical and business teams, to ensure legal and regulatory compliance in the deployment of AI technologies

• Help on other legal topics as needed (labor law, corporate, competition law, etc.)

Requirements

• Master’s degree in law; a bar admission; experience in a fast-growing environment.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a related technology or AI-focused environment involving contract negotiation.

• Good knowledge of the relevant areas of law, such as data privacy and protection issues (GDPR and related frameworks), intellectual property, contract law and liability, regulatory and compliance.

• Paris.

• This role is hybrid, and you are expected to be in the office 3 days a week on average.
