Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer focused on AI architecture research in France. The role centers on researching and building next-generation model architectures, moving concepts toward scalable production, and challenging Transformer-based assumptions.

You will design experiments, prototype neural networks, and collaborate with inference and systems engineers to ensure efficiency and deployability, contributing to notes, benchmarks, and potential

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in ML and DL with practical model development experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing neural architectures from scratch.
• Experience with attention mechanisms, RNNs, or state-space models.
• Ability to evaluate training dynamics, scaling behavior, and efficiency constraints.

Responsabilités

• Research and develop novel neural network architectures beyond Transformers.
• Design and run architecture-level experiments on scaling laws, memory, training behavior, and compute-performance trade-offs.
• Prototype models end-to-end, translating research concepts into training-ready implementations.
• Analyze model behavior, inductive biases, and architectural strengths and limitations.
• Collaborate with inference and systems engineering to ensure efficiency and deployability.
• Read, reproduce, evaluate, and extend cutting-edge ML research papers.
• Contribute to internal notes, benchmarks, experiments, and open-source initiatives where applicable.
• Move fluidly between theoretical investigation, rapid experimentation, and production-oriented engineering.
