SOS MEDITERRANEE is seeking an Advocacy Officer on a three-month, gap-fill basis to ensure continuity of the advocacy team’s evidence, data, and positioning work while the current coordinator is on unpaid leave. The role coordinates with onboard, air, and shore teams and supports data-driven advocacy across SAR and migration contexts.

The role emphasizes data handling, policy monitoring, and production of briefing notes, reports, and talking points, with a preference for Marseille or Paris

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law, International Relations, Humanitarian Affairs, Political Science or related.
• At least 3 years of work experience in advocacy in international development contexts.
• Experience in SAR and/or migration contexts is an added value.

Responsabilités

• Data & evidence: collect, organize, and manage operational data with onboard and shore teams using existing protocols.
• Public positionings: monitor SAR/migration policy, draft internal briefings and updates.
• Advocacy activities: contribute to internal comms and represent SOS MEDITERRANEE at external meetings when requested.
