Job summary

Hornetsecurity is seeking a skilled accounting professional to join the Finance France team. You will manage invoices, reconciliations, cash flow tracking, and tax filings while maintaining reliable financial data.

As part of a small, dynamic team, you will post closing entries, analyze variances, and support audits. The role requires autonomy, rigor, and strong Excel/NetSuite skills in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in general accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and key tax regulations (VAT, taxes).
• Autonomous in day-to-day accounting and closing processes.
• Rigorous, organised, and reliable.
• Comfortable in dynamic environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with stakeholders.
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Enter, check, and process supplier and customer invoices.
• Manage day-to-day accounting entries and bank reconciliations.
• Track cash flow and monitor third-party accounts.
• Monitor payments and keep fixed assets records.
• Support routine VAT and tax filings and payment runs.

Intro

Hornetsecurity is a European provider of cybersecurity and cloud security solutions. Present in 10 countries and with a team of 1,000 employees, including 200 in France, we need you.

As part of the Finance France team, which consists of 3 people, you will actively contribute to maintaining the company’s accounting and ensuring the reliability of its financial data.

Your Job

On a daily basis, your main responsibilities include:

• Entering, checking, and processing supplier and customer invoices
• Managing day-to-day accounting entries
• Performing bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
• Monitoring third-party accounts and following up on customer payments
• Controlling fixed assets
• Supporting the preparation of routine tax filings (VAT and other taxes)
• Preparing payment runs

You will also be involved in monthly closing activities:

• Preparing and posting closing entries
• Reconciling and reviewing account balances
• Justifying accounts and analysing variances
• Monitoring provisions, prepaid expenses, and accruals
• Assisting in audit preparation and financial statements

In collaboration with the team, you will also contribute to:

• The continuous improvement of accounting processes
• Optimising tools and working methods
• Ensuring the reliability of financial data
• Maintaining and evolving internal procedures
• Collaborating with internal teams on accounting and financial topics

Your Profile
