Job summary

Eutelsat is seeking a 5G Operational Engineer to join the S&O department for the IRIS2 programme in Toulouse. You will integrate advanced 5G network operations with the satellite ground segment, defining supporting processes and contributing to documentation during the engineering of operations, then transitioning to live operations in Toulouse Control Centre.

You will collaborate with Ground Engineering, SMC, MCC and 5G managed services while ensuring high availability and effective incident

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science is required.
• Hands-on experience with 5G networks, 3GPP standards, and telco cloud environments.
• Experience interfacing with external suppliers and managing multi-vendor ecosystems.
• Proven ITIL-based process design and operation experience in telecom projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer operations for pre-launch and service initiation in 5G ground segment integration.
• Define and document ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, change, and request fulfilment.
• Coordinate with managed services and external providers to ensure SLA alignment.
• Provide engineering support for incident, problem and change management across 5G services.
• Analyze data, identify recurring issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare technical reports and lessons learned for the Ground Manager.
