Job summary

Eutelsat seeks a specialized 5G Operational Engineer to join the S&O team for the IRIS2 programme. You will define operational processes, document procedures, and support system integration before transitioning to live operations from the Toulouse Control Centre.

You will work on integrating 5G architectures with satellite ground segments, coordinating with external providers and internal teams, and ensuring high availability of 5G services across the end-to-end network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Solid hands-on experience with 5G networks, 3GPP standards, telco cloud environments, and network operations (NOC).
• Experience in authoring, implementing, and optimizing ITIL-based processes.

Responsibilities

• Engineering of Operations & Preparation: contribute to operational engineering, milestones, integration & validation of 5G components, and design/validate operational processes and training.
• ITIL Process Definition & Authoring: design and maintain ITIL-based operational processes for incident, problem, change, and request fulfilment.
• Managed Services & Supplier Interfacing: act as technical interface for 5G managed services with external providers and internal stakeholders.
• Incident & Problem Management: provide engineering support for incident, problem and change management across 5G managed services.
• Continual Improvement & Data Collection: analyze data on recurring issues, network performance, and support design of new initiatives, enforcing ITIL best practices.
• Knowledge Management & Technical Reporting: document lessons learned and produce operational procedure documents and technical reports.
