Job summary

Eutelsat is seeking a 5G/NTN Cybersecurity Expert to join the IRIS² programme at Issy-les-Moulineaux, France. You will design and implement secure systems to protect sensitive data for our LEO/NTN architecture, ensuring compliance with 3GPP, ISO, and NIST standards.

You will define security solutions from early study phases, collaborate with engineering teams, and contribute to risk assessments, certification, and ongoing security improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, information security, or related field.
• Proven experience securing 4G/5G mobile networks.
• In-depth knowledge of cyber security risk management and standards (3GPP, ISO 27001, ISO 27005, NIST).
• Strong understanding of 5G core architecture, network slicing security, and key management.
• Proficiency in security technologies: network security, software security, cryptography, RF security.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security and resilience of 5G and NTN services.
• Assess security requirements for hybrid terrestrial-satellite systems.
• Define and review security architectures across 5G core, NTN, satellite systems and service orchestration platforms.
• Support integration of 3GPP NTN capabilities into end-to-end security design.
• Contribute to security documentation and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with system engineering, security teams, and external partners to meet security requirements.
• Participate in security certification and accreditation activities.
