Job summary

IDEMIA Public Security is seeking a final-year engineering student for a 6-month internship in Osny, starting March 2027. Work on designing and implementing a software pipeline for iris recognition, including 3D eye localization and automatic optical system control.

You will contribute to video stream acquisition, data fusion from RGB and ToF sensors, and PC-based visualization, in a cross-disciplinary, hands-on team environment.

Qualifications

• Final-year engineering student or second-year master's student.
• Strong C/C++ software development skills.
• Good understanding of software architecture concepts and object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of Python for prototyping and validation tools would be an asset.
• Initial experience developing software on Linux would be an asset.
• Ability to work independently, detail-oriented, and hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the platform's software components in C/C++.
• Integrate devices into a distributed multi-processor setup running embedded Linux and an RTOS.
• Develop interfaces and data exchange between subsystems.
• Implement video stream acquisition and synchronization.
• Process data from RGB cameras and ToF sensors to estimate 3D eye position.
• Apply calibration and registration methods for sensors.
• Develop algorithms to automatically control the optical system.
• Create a PC application to visualize data in real time.
• Assist in debugging, performance analysis, and validation of the demonstrator.
