Jobtailor invites applications for a junior aerospace modeling engineer to develop and validate models for hybrid propulsion systems, including combustion chambers and cryogenic circuits. You will apply 0D/1D modeling and numerical methods to support system design and technological decisions.

The role emphasizes collaboration across physics, numerical modeling, and experimental testing, with increasing ownership and technical leadership as experience grows.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or Master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, thermal/fluid engineering or scientific computing.
  • Junior profile (0–2 years of experience).
  • Fluent French and intermediate English (B2 min).
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, compressible flows, heat transfer, combustion and numerical modeling.
  • Experience with 0D/1D physical modeling.
  • Curiosity, creativity, proactive mindset, and rigor in a technical environment.

Responsabilités

  • Develop and validate models for hybrid combustion chambers, LOx feed systems, pressurization systems, cryogenic circuits, and propulsion subsystems.
  • Apply numerical modeling and scientific computing to system design and technical decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development, validation, and industrialization of physical models for hybrid propulsion systems and associated fluid and thermal systems.
  • Gradually take ownership of modeling activities in line with experience level.
  • Become a technical reference in specific physical domains.
  • Work at the interface between physics, numerical modeling, scientific computing, and experimental testing.

Requirements
  • Engineering degree or Master’s degree (five years of higher education) in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, thermal/fluid engineering, or scientific computing
  • Junior profile (0–2 years of experience)
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, compressible flows, heat transfer, combustion, and numerical modeling
  • Practical experience with 0D/1D physical modeling
  • Rigor, curiosity, creativity, and a proactive mindset in a technically demanding environment
  • Fluent French
  • Intermediate English (B2 minimum)
