Job summary

Mehiläinen is seeking a Development Manager, Treasury in Helsinki to lead the development of treasury processes, systems and data capabilities across the group. You will drive automation initiatives, forecasting models and AI-enabled improvements with international stakeholders in a hybrid setup.

You will collaborate with the Director of Treasury and M&A Integrations, and manage treasury system rollouts in acquired companies.

Qualifications

• A few years of work experience in finance or treasury, and a relevant higher education degree (e.g., MSc in Economics and Business Administration or Industrial Engineering and Management).
• A demonstrated track record of independently leading development projects or initiatives — this role is by nature more of a developer role than a traditional controller role.
• Experience with process automation, robotics (RPA), or applying AI solutions in a finance or treasury context — this is a key competence area for the role.
• Familiarity with financial systems and experience developing them; knowledge of Power BI and experience in an international or multicultural environment are considered an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, initiative, and flexibility, along with a strong drive to grow.
• Attention to detail with numbers and excellent Excel skills.
• Basic knowledge of accounting is an advantage, as you will also participate in monthly reporting.
• Fluent English, as you will work daily with international stakeholders; skills in Finnish, Swedish and/or German are considered an advantage.
• The ability to work in a constantly changing environment across multiple development initiatives at the same time — you don't wait for ready‑made assignments but identify development opportunities yourself and drive them forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of treasury processes and automation initiatives.
• Create and manage the treasury development roadmap.
• Implement automation across the group using AI and RPA.
• Develop forecasting models and improve forecast accuracy.
• Oversee treasury systems (Treasury Systems, Nomentia Cash Management and Anaplan).
• Act as AI Product Owner for treasury initiatives.
• Ensure data quality and security; manage risk controls.
• Collaborate with Controllers, IT and banks; roll out to acquired companies.
