Job summary

The European Investment Bank (EIB) invites applications for an Associate Transaction Processing & Digital Transformation Officer at its Luxembourg headquarters. The role combines financial operations with data analytics, automation and emerging technologies to strengthen back-office efficiency and risk controls.

You will lead end-to-end processing, implement data-driven improvements, and contribute to AI, RPA and DLT pilot initiatives within a high-impact operations environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science or equivalent.
• Additional postgraduate studies or professional qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Treasury/Derivatives or back office of a financial institution.
• Good understanding of financial products (bonds, derivatives, repos).
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging and settlement processes.
• Exposure to AI, data science use cases and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end processing of Borrowings, Treasury and Derivatives transactions.
• Ensure timely confirmations, settlements and lifecycle event management.
• Perform controls to reduce operational, financial and reputational risk.
• Monitor and resolve breaks, settlement failures or discrepancies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of control frameworks, especially in automated environments.
• Develop dashboards, reports and KPIs to monitor performance and risk.
