Job summary

Upheat Solutions Oy in Tampere is seeking a Test Engineer to join our hardware-focused product team from day one. You will design measurement setups, implement and calibrate test systems, draft test plans, and document results while analyzing data and driving automated data collection.

This role also offers the chance to shape testing processes as we scale production and build a new team function in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• Several years of testing or measurement experience.
• Fluent in Finnish and English.
• Understanding of electrical drives (inverters, motors).
• Experience with measurement instruments such as power analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Strong data analysis skills and proactive work style.

Job description

Upheat Solutions Oy is a Tampere-based technology startup developing advanced high-temperature heat pump technology to harness waste heat from industry.

We are looking for a Test Engineer who will be a core part of product development, working hands-on from day one. Your responsibilities will include designing measurement setups and test environments, implementing and calibrating test systems, drafting test plans and documenting work, analyzing test data and reporting results, and developing automated data collection and control systems. You will help evolve testing processes to support future production scale and help craft a new role within the team.

Requirements include several years of testing or measurement experience, understanding of electrical drives (inverters, motors), experience with measurement instruments (e.g., power analyzers, oscilloscopes), process measurements (pressure, temperature, flow), data analysis skills, and a proactive, self-directed work style. Finnish and English fluency is required; enthusiasm for building smarter systems is a plus.
