Job summary

Softability is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to design and implement test automation for embedded and industrial products. You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, developing automated integration and system-level tests for client projects.

Hybrid work is supported, with 1-3 days per week at client offices around Tampere Metropolitan area; strong English communication and mentoring skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience with Python & Robot Framework.
• Experience with automated hardware testing, measurement equipment, and industrial interfaces.
• Familiarity with HIL platforms, simulators, or communication protocols.

Do you enjoy automating tests and continuously improving software quality?

Are you skilled in Python and experienced in enhancing the quality of complex embedded and electromechanical systems?

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer

with strong experience in the design and implementation of test automation involving hardware. As a consultant, you'll work at the intersection of hardware and software, developing automated integration and system-level tests for our clients' embedded and industrial products - one project at a time.

Our clients support hybrid work, so presence at their office around Tampere Metropolitan area is required (1-3 days per week).

We expect you to have

• several years of experience working with python & Robot Framework,
• experience with automated hardware testing, measurement equipment, and industrial interfaces,
• familiarity with HIL platforms, simulators, or communication protocols,
• mentoring and consultative approach, and
• great verbal and written communication skills in English.

It’s a great plus if you also have experience with:

• Background and experience from electricity related products
• Experience with C#/C/C++ or firmware debugging.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Docker, Kubernetes and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of industrial standards and safety requirements.
