Job summary

SAAB Sensor Technology Center in Tampere, Finland, is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead development efforts in Electronic Warfare products within a cross-functional R&D team. You will bridge technical execution with project leadership across defense-focused programs.

Ideal candidates bring a strong technical background, hands-on experience in RF/embedded systems, and excellent Finnish/English communication. The role supports flexible hours and partial remote work in Tampere.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Technical Physics, Electrical Engineering, Digital Signal Processing or equivalent.
• Experience in Defence, Space or Telecoms industries.
• Experience in mixed signal, RF, embedded and communications systems development.
• Ability to work independently with a self-driven mindset.
• Confidence in decision-making and proactive execution.
• Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English, verbal and written.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our team!

Your role

As part of a Research and Development team, you will collaborate with our cross-functional, multi-disciplinary development team in definition, design and development of Electronic Warfare products.

This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical background with project leadership in a highly innovative and meaningful field. You will have opportunities to engage in cutting-edge technology development across modern Electronic Warfare and radar solutions.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Leading the product development activities of Electronic Warfare products
• Development, coordination and execution of a plan and schedule with the internal and external customers
• Developing and managing customer requirements for individual projects
• Developing strategic working relationships and coordinating with internal stakeholders

In this job, some of your tasks have a connection to defense secrecy. Therefore, a drug test and approved security clearance in accordance with the Finnish Security Clearance act 726/2014 is required for the selected applicant.

We are looking for someone who is technically skilled, proactive, and motivated to drive development forward – even in complex environments. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you'll be working with colleagues from various backgrounds and disciplines.
