Job summary

Saab Finland Oy in Tampere seeks a Technical Project Manager to join our Research and Development team, bridging technology and project leadership for Electronic Warfare products. You will collaborate with a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team in definition, design and development across modern EW and radar solutions.

You will engage with stakeholders, manage customer requirements, and drive development in complex environments while maintaining strong communication in English and Finnish.

Qualifications

• Requires MSc in a technical field with experience in defence/space/telecoms.
• Experience with RF, embedded, and mixed-signal development.
• Strong communication skills in English and Finnish.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our team! Are you someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology and project leadership? Your role

As part of a Research and Development team, you will collaborate with our cross-functional, multi-disciplinary development team in definition, design and development of Electronic Warfare products. This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical background with project leadership in a highly innovative and meaningful field. You will have opportunities to engage in cutting-edge technology development across modern Electronic Warfare and radar solutions.

Responsibilities

• Leading the product development activities of Electronic Warfare products Development, coordination and execution of a plan and schedule with the internal and external customers
• Developing and managing customer requirements for individual projects
• Developing strategic working relationships and coordinating with internal stakeholders

In this job, some of your tasks have a connection to defense secrecy. Therefore, a drug test and approved security clearance in accordance with the Finnish Security Clearance act 726/2014 is required for the selected applicant.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is technically skilled, proactive, and motivated to drive development forward – even in complex environments. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you'll be working with colleagues from various backgrounds and disciplines.

Required skills

• Master of Science in Technical Physics, Electrical Engineering, Digital Signal Processing or equivalent
• Relevant experience from Defence, Space or Telecoms industries
• Experience in mixed signal, RF, embedded and communications systems development
• Ability to work independently with a self-driven mindset
• Confidence in decision-making and a proactive approach to execution
• Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English, verbal and written

Bonus skills we value

• Knowledge with one or more of the following topics: Electronic Warfare, Radar, COMINT, SIGINT or ELINT
• Understanding of all the phases of product development process, from early concept to product ramp-down
