Job summary

Zeal Network is seeking a Team & Tech Lead to combine people leadership with hands-on engineering. You’ll build and grow your own engineering team, shape the technical direction and embed AI and automation into workflows while collaborating across locations.

You’ll lead engineers, define standards, and stay hands-on with code, delivering scalable technical solutions for an international e-commerce context.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams, ideally in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong, recent hands-on experience with Next.js, TypeScript and HTML5/CSS3.
• Practical experience using AI in software engineering, including building or implementing AI agents and automation.
• Experience deploying, monitoring and maintaining web applications.
• Experience working in e-commerce environments.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, ownership-driven approach with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow your own engineering team, including hiring key technical roles.
• Lead, mentor and develop engineers, including performance management, feedback and professional growth.
• Define and drive technical direction, architecture and engineering standards.
• Stay hands-on by writing code, contributing to features and solving complex technical challenges.
• Drive the adoption of AI and automation across engineering workflows, including AI-assisted development and AI agents.
• Work closely with Product and UX to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure reliable delivery through a “you build it, you run it” approach.
• Drive technical alignment and collaboration across engineering teams and locations.
• Balance technical quality and ambition with pragmatic, fast delivery.
