Job summary

Aurora Live is seeking a Lead Software Architect to shape the next generation of AI-native software. You will own the big-picture architecture, connect applications, data, and APIs, and still roll up your sleeves for prototyping and reviews.

You will lead the transition to AI-assisted development, define scalable data models, APIs, and integrations, and coach the team to improve security, performance, and maintainability across the software estate in Helsinki, Finland.

Qualifications

• Experience designing complex software systems and leading architectural decisions.
• Hands-on coding experience with modern web and backend stacks.
• Ability to design scalable data models, APIs and integrations.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead our transition towards AI-native software development with AI coding agents.
• Define and evolve architecture across applications, data, and APIs.
• Stay hands-on with prototyping, code reviews and problem-solving.
• Coach developers and raise technical bar across the team.
• Balance build vs buy vs integrate to reduce unnecessary custom development.
