Job summary

Roche Pharma Finland seeks a Local Supply Chain Responsible to ensure the seamless flow of medicinal products locally while maintaining GMP/GDP compliance. You will bridge global supply chain with local Quality and external logistics partners, overseeing inventory, orders, recalls, and regulatory adherence.

The role requires a Master’s degree and experience in pharmaceutical supply chains, with fluency in English and knowledge of EU GMP/GDP.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance or a related field.
  • Professional experience in local, regional or global Supply Chain/Finance within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Fluency in English is required, Finnish is a plus.
  • Understanding of EU GMP/GDP requirements and applicable local regulation.
  • High ethical standards and business integrity. Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain open dialogue across all levels of the organization. Analytical mindset for demand forecasting and inventory optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Quality & Compliance (GMP/GDP): Maintain and update local SOPs and Work Instructions related to supply chain in collaboration with the CLM. Ensure all operations comply with GDocP.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all medicinal products are received from and shipped to authorized suppliers and customers.
  • Recalls & Tracing: Manage lot tracing requests and support local Quality in recall operations if needed.
  • Demand Planning: Manage sales forecasts and monitor demand, inventory levels and back-orders to secure product availability and prevent stock-outs.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory according to FEFO principles; monitor products nearing expiry and ensure timely withdrawal from stock.
  • Returns & Scrap: Handle customer returns and manage destruction process in collaboration with CLM.
  • Sampling: Coordinate management and distribution of marketing samples with the 4PL in compliance with local regulations.
  • Statutory Obligations: Manage mandatory stockpiling obligations; represent Supply Chain at BCM assessments.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain and update Material Master Data in collaboration with ERP, PSCO, Regulatory Affairs and 4PL partners.
  • Reporting: Responsible for Supply Chain tasks in Monthly Closing.
  • 4PL Oversight: Manage daily operations and monitor performance of the 4PL warehouse.
  • Collaboration: Organize quarterly business reviews with 4PL (Tamro).

The Position

At Roche Pharma Finland, we are looking for a Local Supply Chain Responsible (Supply Chain Manager) who will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of medicinal products to the local market while maintaining strict compliance with GMP/GDP regulations. The role acts as a key bridge between global supply chain, local product Quality and external logistics partner.

Responsibilities
  • Quality & Compliance (GMP/GDP) Maintain and update local SOPs and Work Instructions related to supply chain in collaboration with the Customer Logistics Manager (CLM). Ensure all operations comply with Good Documentation Practices (GDocP).
  • Regulatory Adherence Ensure all medicinal products are received from and shipped to authorized suppliers and customers.
  • Recalls & Tracing Manage lot tracing requests and support the local Quality in recall operations if needed.
  • Demand Planning Manage sales forecasts and monitor demand, inventory levels and back-orders to secure product availability and prevent stock-outs.
  • Inventory Control Manage inventory according to FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles. Collaborate with the local Quality and Regulatory on artwork introductions and change management. Monitor products nearing expiry and ensure timely withdrawal from saleable stock. Perform and document yearly stock counts; investigate any irregularities.
  • Returns & Scrap Handle customer returns and manage the overall destruction process in collaboration with the Customer Logistics Manager (CLM).
  • Sampling Coordinate the management and distribution of marketing samples with the 4PL in compliance with local regulations.
  • Statutory Obligations Manage mandatory stockpiling obligations. Represent Supply Chain at the Business Continuity Management (BCM) yearly assessments.
  • Data Integrity Maintain and update Material Master Data in collaboration with the Global Master Data Operations Team (ERP), Product Supply Chain Owner (PSCO), Regulatory Affairs and 4PL partners.
  • Reporting Responsible for Supply Chain related tasks in the Monthly Closing process.
  • 4PL Oversight Manage daily operations and monitor the performance of the 4PL warehouse.
  • Collaboration Organize quarterly business reviews with 4PL (Tamro)
Qualifications
  • Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance or a related field.
