Job summary

Sampo plc is seeking an Analyst to join the Group Strategy team in Helsinki. The role focuses on solving broad strategic questions while gaining deep insight into the P&C insurance business within Northern Europe’s leading P&C group.

You will work on market research, financial and valuation analyses, and strategy projects across the Group. The position emphasizes clear recommendations and presentations for senior management and investors.

Qualifications

• Clear, compelling materials for senior management and Board audiences.
• Master’s degree in finance, strategy or economics.
• 1–2 years in strategy, consulting, investment banking or similar analytical roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data.
• Advanced Excel and ability to use AI tools in analysis.

Responsibilities

• Turn analyses into clear recommendations and concise presentations for senior management, the Board and investors.
• Conduct market and competitor research, financial and valuation analyses for strategic projects.
• Support strategic initiatives across Sampo Group and its businesses, including M&A opportunities.
• Collaborate with multiple expert teams to collect information and structure outputs for stakeholders.
• Present findings clearly to stakeholders and, in selected projects, work with external advisors.
