Job summary

Axelera AI is seeking a Staff/Principal software engineer to own a major area of the Applications stack within the Voyager SDK. You will translate research and product needs into a coherent roadmap for model deployment and pipelines, pushing the boundaries of what is technically achievable.

With autonomy to shape the technical roadmap, you will optimize memory usage, target heterogeneous hardware, and architect low-level CV operators for specialized processing elements, collaborating with

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
8+ years hands-on experience in the semiconductor and/or AI.
Expert-level Python and C++ development.
Experience with edge deployment frameworks OpenVINO or TensorRT.
Experience with OpenCL and Vulkan.
Ability to architect and deploy end-to-end ML pipelines.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end technical strategy for a major area of the Voyager SDK’s application layer.
Set technical direction for image pre/post processing operators and decoders; create reusable architectures.
Drive integration of industry-standard model frameworks into the SDK for low-code/no-code deployment.
Define company-wide metadata representations for common model types and own libraries to evaluate accuracy.
Take accountability for end-to-end pipeline latency and throughput across hardware platforms; build profiling tools.
Represent Applications team capabilities to stakeholders; mentor engineers; drive documentation and best practices.
