Job summary

AlphaSense is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the outer loop of software delivery, designing and operating production-grade CI/CD infrastructure. You will contribute hands-on in Go and Python and collaborate across time zones with engineering leaders and senior engineers globally.

You will drive progressive delivery, embed AI-assisted workflows into the SDLC, and help shape engineering practices at scale. While Helsinki hosts an office, the team is distributed with flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience focusing on CI/CD.
• Experience owning and operating a CI/CD platform at admin/architecture level.
• Hands-on Go production experience.
• Familiar with cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Interest in security and RBAC/OAuth is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve CI/CD architecture and the developer-facing experience.
• Improve pipeline reliability, speed, and predictability.
• Define paved paths for product teams to ship fast and safely.
• Own end-to-end delivery from code merge to production.
• Champion progressive delivery: canary deployments and rollbacks.
• Build tooling for observable, repeatable deployments.
• Own and evolve Internal Developer Portal and self-service experience.
• Partner with Cloud Platform teams on infrastructure and delivery.
• Embed AI tooling into delivery workflows for productivity gains.
