OP Pohjola is seeking a DevOps Trainee to join the Platform Engineering team. You will help build and maintain delivery pipelines, automation, and developer tooling, working with software teams across OP Pohjola.

Software development today is about much more than writing code. Reliable delivery pipelines, automation, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, and governance all play an important role in ensuring that software can be delivered safely, efficiently, and at scale.
As a DevOps Trainee, you will join our Platform Engineering team, which develops and maintains services and tools used by software development teams across OP Pohjola. Our mission is to improve developer experience, enable efficient software delivery, and provide platform capabilities that help teams build high-quality software securely and reliably.
During your trainee period, you will participate in the development and maintenance of platform services, CI/CD solutions, automation, and developer tooling. You will collaborate closely with software development teams, helping them use platform capabilities effectively, resolve challenges, and improve their development workflows.
You will also gain firsthand experience of how AI is transforming software development. We are actively exploring AI‑assisted software engineering, including coding assistants, automated testing, developer productivity tools, and AI‑enabled workflows. As part of the team, you will have opportunities to contribute to experiments and improvements that help us understand how AI can be adopted safely and effectively in a highly regulated environment.
This role offers a unique opportunity to understand how modern software delivery works in practice and how platform teams enable large engineering organizations to succeed.
You do not need to be an expert in every technology. What matters most is curiosity, a willingness to learn, and an interest in how software systems are built, delivered, and operated.

Experience with technologies such as TypeScript, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, containers, cloud platforms, or AI-assisted development tools is considered an advantage, but it is not required.
You will join GitHub Pipelines team, which provides delivery pipelines, automation, and developer tooling for software teams across OP Pohjola.
We work with technologies such as GitHub Actions, TypeScript, Azure, Terraform, and AI-assisted development tools. Our goal is to make software development easier, safer, and more efficient for development teams while ensuring compliance and high quality standards.
