Job summary

OP Pohjola is launching an AI Engineer Trainee role within the AI Tribe. You will contribute to shared AI capabilities and business initiatives, using Python, Azure, and Microsoft Foundry in a cloud environment.

The six‑month paid contract runs March 1 to August 31, 2027, with a monthly salary of €3,200. We value curiosity, collaboration, and proactive learning while navigating financial industry guidelines.

Qualifications

We are now strengthening OP Pohjola's AI Tribe with an AI Engineer Trainee!

As an AI Engineer Trainee in the AI Tribe, you will be involving and contributing to OP Pohjola's shared AI capabilities and business initiatives using AI capabilities. AI Tribe drives OP Pohjola's AI first transformation by building and implementing shared platforms and capabilities with primarily Microsoft Foundry, owning AI governance, strengthening AI skills and modern ways of working to deliver measurable value and impact at scale.

Examples of project could include, for example, adaptive AI orchestration, adaptive guardrails and agentic vulnerability remediation, or something else. The scope of the trainee role will be tailored to the selected candidate's profile and areas of interest.

Does this sound like you?

We hope you have previous experience in developing AI-based solutions or data analytics using the Python stack in a cloud environment, such as Azure. In addition, an understanding of software development skills, and experience working in agile teams are considered an advantage.

We value proactivity and flexible approach to problem-solving whilst understanding and appreciating financial industry regulation and guidelines. Above all, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn new things.

We expect you to have strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in English. Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.

You hold a Master's degree or are in the final stages of your studies in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, or another relevant field.
