Job summary

Digitalist Group Plc is seeking a senior service designer to join DEX in Helsinki. The role focuses on shaping services with clients, mapping current processes, and designing future workflows that leverage AI.

Fluency in Finnish and English is required, with Swedish a strong plus, and Helsinki-based presence with remote work options. You will lead interviews, workshops, and co-creation, ensuring designs meet client needs while integrating AI tools effectively.

Job description

Most service designers have tried AI by now. We are looking for one whose way of working has changed because of it, and who can show how.

DEX is a small senior design and consulting team, part of Digitalist Group Plc, listed on Nasdaq Helsinki. We help companies and cities change how their services and processes run. We research with the people whose work is being changed, design with them in workshops, and document the result as visual maps they can read and own.

Our company language is English, and most of our client work happens in Finnish. Fluent Finnish and fluent English are both required for this role. Swedish is a strong plus.

What you will do

• Plan and run interviews, workshops and co-creation with client teams.


• Map how a service or process runs today and design how it should run, including where AI helps and where it does not.


• Use AI for synthesis, mapping and drafting, so that more of your time goes to the client's people.


• Design workflows around new AI tools and test them with users, so the tools get used.

What you should bring

• Several years of service design work with clients, from research to delivery.

• AI as a daily working tool, with examples of the time it saved and how you checked the output.


• Confidence facilitating a room of specialists and managers.

Where you will work

The role is based in Helsinki. Remote work is a real option, but we expect you at the Helsinki office during the first stage of your employment. We also have an office in Turku.
